Accenture inches closer to MDC Partners acquisition deal

accentureFor the last few years a number of consulting companies such as Accenture, PWC, and Deloitte have invested millions of dollars as each tries to capture a larger  footprint in the advertising and marketing industry.  According to a recent report from Adweek, Accenture is among themthree finalists bidding to acquire the embattled agency network MDC Partners. MDC is currently bleeding money as the holding company which is home to agencies such as 72andSunny, Crispin Porter + Bogusky and Veritas is currently in debt over $1 billion.

Accenture has been in buying mode having snapped up smaller independent agencies which it integrates into its Accenture Interactive, its digital marketing services division.
